Who is eligible for MLP | Boston's legal services?
All of our legal services originate from “case consults” from front-line health care staff who have screened their patients for potential non-biological barriers to health. Providers at the following health care institutions are able to seek case consults with us on behalf of their patients:
- BMC
- Codman Square Health Center
- Dorchester House Multi-Service Center
- East Boston Neighborhood Health Center
- South Boston Community Health Center
- South End Community Health Center
- Upham’s Corner Health Center
During a case consult, MLP | Boston staff will determine whether the patient is income-, subject matter-, and otherwise eligible for a legal clinic appointment. We generally only provide legal services to households whose total income does not exceed 200% of the Federal Poverty Level.
