MLP | Boston is committed to nurturing medical-legal partnership beyond the four corners of its own program. For years, we have supported the growth of other MLP sites across the Commonwealth, New England, and the country in a variety of ways.

On March 9-11, Staff Attorney Samuel Senft will take part in a Boston Medical Center presentation at National Conference on Blood Disorder in Public Health in Atlanta, GA. More information is available at the conference website.

In late August 2009, MLP | Boston co-presented (with Dorchester House Multi-Service Center, Ropes & Gray, and the National Center for Medical-Legal Partnership) at the annual National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) 2009 Community Health Institute and Expo in Chicago, IL. The subject of the presentation was: "How to Develop a Successful Medical-Legal Partnership at Your Health Center."
On September 16, 2009, Staff Attorney JoHanna Flacks and Medical Director of Training Kathleen Conroy hosted a webinar entitled "Training Providers in Housing Advocacy." Click here to learn more.
On September 24, 2009, Director of Training Pamela Tames presented at the Interdisciplinary Collaborative Education Conference in Atlanta, GA.
On October 2, 2009, Executive Director Samantha Morton served as a panelist at a symposium in Portland, ME entitled Expanding Justice in Maine: Upstream Solutions to Downstream Problems.
On October 27, 2009, MLP | Boston presented on a webinar panel (with partners from Ropes & Gray) broadcast to the national MLP Network entitled How to Develop a Successful Pro Bono “Adoption” of a Health Clinic
On November 2, 2009, MLP | Boston hosted the first-ever state-wide conference on medical-legal partnership in Massachusetts, entitled Medical-Legal Partnership in Massachusetts: A Prescription for Vulnerable Patients. Please click here to learn more!
On November 17, 2009, Medical Director of Training Kathleen Conroy spoke at a summit hosted by the Boston Healthy Start Initiative of the Boston Public Health Commission. The event was entitled "Death at an Early Age: A Summit to Ending the Black-White Gap in Infant Mortality."
In late November 2009, Executive Director Samantha Morton served as a panelist at the National Legal Aid and Defenders Association annual conference in Denver, CO.

- Hosting emerging MLP legal and clinical team members for tours of MLP | Boston and an orientation to the model;
- Conducting supportive site visits at both emerging and long-standing MLP sites;
- Responding to operational and strategic inquiries from other sites by phone and email; and
- Disseminating best practices, materials, and templates to through a variety of mechanisms.
